Det Goda Livet (The Good Life)
About
School project, autumn 2007. Made in collaboration with the Swedish organization Västra Götalandsregionen.
This game is meant to be played by three players together in the same room, but with separate computers. Every player has an unique roll in the game – one as a farmer, one as a citizen and one as a politician. The farmer wants to become rich and wealthy, the citizen is searching for happiness while the politician tries to snatch as many votes as possible. The problem is that what’s good for one player is probably bad for the others. Choose your strategy wisely to make sure everybody reaches their personal goal. When the game is over the final score is based on the sum of all player’s individual score.
Det Goda Livet is a challenging and fun learning experience designed for play sessions of 5 – 15 minutes during a visit to the museum. Special care has been taken to make the game spur a discussion about sustainable development and environmental questions.
